Ashley Burgess is a Queensland-based intercultural filmmaker, producer and educator whose career spans Asia, the Pacific and Australia. He has written, directed or produced 200+ works in ten languages across nine countries, with a focus on community-embedded co-production. As BBC Showrunner and Head of Production in Burma and Thailand, he led teams of 100+ and delivered prime-time audiences exceeding ten million. He designed and led Griffith Film School's award-winning international bootcamps across Asia-Pacific and the Australian Outback for over a decade, training hundreds of emerging filmmakers while building sustainable regional cinema models.
